I used to believe that someone (who knows me) sends SPAM (by registering my name without knowledge "somewhere" and consequently, i become their preferred ads/email recipient) -- (macam meranjau la…) -- but after some months receiving these kinds of emails, my perception is indeed, not true. ....otherwise, it really makes me wonder….who d hell wants me (or mine) to gain extra inches… (or sort of –- "all your friends will surely envy you!" -- ha ha ha).
.

SPAM targets all, you and me. In advertising/marketing, this is called awareness. It is an attempt to see how lucky is the sender -- the best, you will purchase/get their products/services. The worst is only one -- the emails will be deleted.
.
SPAM email is actually similar to flyers/pamphlets sent to our postbox (in fact, SPAM is more cheaper/easier than sending flyers). We are their potential customers! Option, you may just take/open the flyers/pamphlets and read. Or, just keep them in one place, which later you may exchange with cash! -- sell to “old paper”

Sweden to allow secret tapping of phone calls, email
STOCKHOLM (AP) — Sweden on Wednesday adopted contentious legislation that will give officials sweeping powers to eavesdrop on all e-mail and telephone traffic that crosses the Nordic nation's borders.
After heated debate and last-minute changes, lawmakers approved the bill that has outraged some lawmakers and prompted protesters to hand out copies of George Orwell's novel "1984" outside Parliament.
Lawmakers approved the bill in a 143-138 vote. One lawmaker abstained.
It will become law in January.
Google Inc. and Swedish telecom TeliaSonera AB have called it the most far-reaching eavesdropping plan in Europe, comparable to a U.S. government surveillance program.
