Not a typo. In Malaysia, we don’t experience summer time. But we do have "
summons time" (not the police summons,
PDRM,
JPJ,
MPSJ, MDMS)
It is a wedding invitation. So, Malaysia’s summons time is back! Now >>> during the school holidays.
As far as I could remember, I got 7 (wedding) summons last year (
the highest wedding invitation in a day!), but only managed to fulfill (..
the stomach) 2 invitations. The rest we had RSVP them earlier, telling them –
sorry, we appreciate your invitation, but due to (blab la bla) we couldn’t be there. If you’re in Penang and already have 2 summons, another 1 in Johor, 2 in Selangor and 1 in Perak and Pahang respectively, don’t tell me that -- yes I will certainly go and wish to be seated next to the Pengantin!
However, if you own a private jet/helicopter + free time + healthy, I think it is your
obligation to fulfill those invitations. Ustaz will say >>
yes Taj, it is compulsory, no excuse!It is a privilege to be invited to a wedding ceremony. The person / family / friend / teacher / x-boss / x-subordinate / x-boyfren / x-girlfren / x-hubby / x-wife / niece / nephew / anonymous /
bau bacang wants us to be in the ceremony/celebration. So do
RSVP. RSVP is important, what more if the ceremony were to be held in private hall or hotel banquet.
Imagine this – big hall - many chairs/tables - less people - big hall looks empty – i see you - you see me - i smile at you, you don't smile at me - ohhh pity the host.
So in this case, please RSVP. Easy for you and easy for them. They will delete your name and summons other person (he he he to replace the seat allocated for your earlier – and you are damn lucky to have another invitation in future!).
